Hair Extensions: Get Your Perfect Look Today

Investing in a set of hair extensions can truly transform your appearance, giving thick, full hair where there wasn't before. For this reason, this kind of treatment is becoming increasingly popular with women who have naturally thin and fine hair, and want to remedy that.

There are a number of different types of hair extensions available on the market, specifically including synthetic and human hair extensions. The latter is a very popular choice, as it gives the most natural looking finish and can be treated and styled just like your natural head of hair - because it too is natural.

Although this type of treatment can look great, it is also a real investment of money, with the most upmarket salons offering the best treatments for hundreds of pounds. With this in mind, it is absolutely essential to look after your real human hair extensions in a very particular way to make sure that they last as long as possible.

It should be noted, however, that one of the top pieces of advice from salon owners and hairstylists is that any type of extensions - whether curly hair extensions or straight ones - should be seen to and replaced on a semi-regular basis. Damage will occur over time to the product, as well as to your own hair, and therefore expert treatment is strongly advised.

The first thing to bear in mind when looking after your extensions at home is that you will need to treat them better, and with greater care, than your own hair. This is for two main reasons, the first being that they do not benefit from the natural scalp oils that your own head of hair does, as they are not actually growing out of your scalp.

These natural oils are essential for keeping your hair nourished so you will need to make sure that your extensions are even more nourished. This can be especially true of curly hair extensions, which can be prone to frizz and need to be moisturized intensively to stay in good condition.

These hair products have also been subjected to harsh treatment - including extensive heating, coloring and sanitizing - before they were applied to your hair. For this reason, it is necessary to give them an extra level of treatment for them to last as long as possible.

Dead High Fashion: The Zombie Halloween Costume

Zombie Halloween costumes are the most fun and interesting to create. There are so many variations to how zombies can look that you don't have to stick to one set formula for the costume. All you need to remember is that zombies are walking corpses and they need to look like they were recently killed.

This means you want to have a lot of fun with coloring your skin different colors like green or brown. But most importantly, you want to have blood stained clothes and possibly even blood coming from some area of your body. Obviously, you will be using fake blood that you purchase from an outlet or novelty store. If you want to get really creative and are limited on resources, you can use ketchup for the blood.

Clothes

You need to first choose what kind of zombie that you want to be. Are you a businessperson that
turned into a zombie? How about a cheerleader? Start off with clothes which resemble the type of person who was killed and then transformed into a zombie. So, if you were a business person then you would wear a suit and tie, dress shirt, khakis, and/or dress pants. If you are a cheerleader, then you would wear a short skirt which resembles the colors of a particular school. Whichever outfit you choose, make sure you won't want to wear it again in your regular life because you are about to really mess it up.

If you want to depict how the zombie was killed originally, you could use the fake blood to design wounds on the clothes which resemble stabbings or gunshots. If you have any specialized accessories, like fake knives, which you can have stuck out of your body, that would be even better. Otherwise, just squirt a bunch of fake blood in different areas of the clothing. For added appeal, make a few tears in the fabric of the clothing so that it looks scarier.

Basic Makeup
The makeup will be the most important part. You could have all the blood on your clothes that you want, but it won't make much of a difference if your face does not look like zombie's face. Therefore, you will want to either purchase a special zombie makeup kit or simply gather together some white face paint, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and black lipstick. These will be your essential makeup items for creating a scary zombie face. The end result should be a pale white face, black eye sockets, a black outline around the eyes, and black lips. If you want to add blood makeup to areas of the face, that will be good too.

Advanced Makeup

So far, you have a basic zombie look which includes blood-stained clothes and a zombie's face. If you want to take your zombie costume to the next level, you can use add contact lenses, prosthetics, and/or fake teeth. The most advanced will be the contact lenses because these will make your eyes actually look like zombie's eyes. You can get lenses that will make your pupils look green, yellow, black, red, or whatever else you want. Any full zombie costume will certainly have contact lenses like these. You can purchase them online at a number of Halloween stores.

Fake Teeth And Prosthetics

Fake teeth and prosthetics can be purchased anywhere, although the higher quality ones will need to be purchased at a Halloween store. Some of the prosthetics available can help create the appearance of stitched skin, facial deformities, scars, open flesh wounds, and hanging skin. As for the teeth, you can either use teeth makeup or just put it fake teeth entirely over your real teeth. The fake teeth will look green, rotten, and maybe even bloody! Just use your imagination and have fun with it.

Bare Necessities! Plus Size Intimates Embrace Your Curves

Every woman is unique and lingerie plays an important role in defining her persona. There is an intimacy that well-chosen inner wear provides and it cannot be replicated by anything else in the world. This is the feeling that women cherish more than anything else. Because much of this comfort depends on how good a fit is, choosing inner wear of the correct size is strongly recommended. Thus, while slim women should go for normal sizes, voluptuous ladies must opt for full-figured or plus-size lingerie in order to look perfect and feel comfortable.

From the manufacturer's perspective, the plus-size lingerie segment is potentially lucrative now, especially after having been overshadowed for all these years when 'slim-n-trim' ruled the roost. Thanks to all the attention that it has been receiving, nowadays there is an entire section of full-figure lingerie to choose from in sharp contrast to the bland options of yesteryears. What is even more encouraging is the ease with which this form of apparel can be chosen and bought in both online and offline stores in a variety of shades, styles, and fabrics.

A must-have inner-wear for every plus-sized woman is a corset. This need not be plain - in fact going
in for embroidered, strap-less, Zebra pattern or even ribbons and laces could definitely add the much-needed zing. Although the corset has been around since ancient times, its recent rise to fame can be attributed to its versatility. Due to its ability to provide a snug fit, highlight the right curves and conceal flaws, this garment is usually worn under a dress or combined with a pair of denims.

Panties are mandatory inclusions in every woman's wardrobe and functionality apart, these are now available in an amazing number of styles. Thus, her size notwithstanding, every woman can opt for a naughty, interesting or elegant version as per the situation. While a full-brief panty can be chosen for daily wear, variations like thongs and shorts can be chosen to cater for special occasions. Both are available in plus-size and while the former is meant to provide a dash of feminism, the latter serves a more practical purpose.

Chemise and teddy are categories of plus-size lingerie which can also be used as sleep-wear in addition to theirtraditional purpose. Chemises are universally regarded as being soft and feminine and true to their reputation, they assume the shape of the wearer without compromising on comfort. Silk, lace, and chiffon are some of the common fabrics in which chemises can be bought. A teddy could be best described as a single-piece innerwear which can be donned by itself at home or in combination with trousers.

One category of plus-size lingerie which has suddenly shot into the limelight is hosiery and it is a broad term that encompasses everything from suspenders to stockings and garter. While fashionistas opt for the fish-net and lacy fabrics, opaque tights are universally preferred owing to their all-purpose nature. These can be worn on any occasion and in combination with anything. Peignoirs and baby-doll styles are lingerie options which should be reserved for those special evenings.

FASHION TRENDS Fall / Winter 2018-2019 + how to wear them ǀ Justine Leconte

Fashion Vs. Style

So what fashion is on trend this season? That is the question many women ask themselves as they prepare to go to the mall or go to their favorite online boutique. As mature women, we have seen fashions come and go. However with all the fashionable clothes, we buy each year many of us still struggle with the proverbial, “I have nothing to wear" on a daily basis. The solution to this problem? Stop shopping fashion and start shopping for your personal style.

There is a difference between fashion and style. Fashion refers to the trends or "in" things that designers promote each season in stores and on the internet. It's your cropped pants, bell sleeves, cold shoulder dresses, and mom jeans. But certain fashions are not for everyone. Have you ever heard the saying, “just because it's in your size doesn't mean you should wear it"? Personal style, however, is about the fashions that look good on you.

Style takes into consideration a couple of factors. The first is color. What colors look best on you? Based on the color of your hair, eyes, and complexion, certain colors will look better on you than others. Color consultants use a variety of systems to determine what colors look best on a client but, generally speaking, color palettes are chosen based on your undertone. Is it yellow and warm or is it blue and cool? To determine your undertone, try on some jewelry. Which looks best on you, the silver or the gold? If it is silver, you likely have a cool undertone. If it is gold, the undertone is likely to warm. Once you have determined if you are warm or cool, get a color wheel to see which colors are warm or cool. These are the colors that will look best on you. If you need additional help, talk to a color consultant or check out the Eyes on Hue app.

The second factor is fit. Does the outfit you choose fit your body silhouette? Everyone has a different body silhouette. Are you round, angular, bigger on the top than the bottom or just the opposite? The clothes you choose should flatter your body shape. For example, if you are pear-shaped or bigger on the bottom, to balance out your frame, you may want to wear blouses or tops with ruffles, colorful prints, or wide collars. On the other hand, you might want to stay away from large floral print pants, tulip skirts and other items that may draw attention to your larger bottom.

To figure out what looks best on you take cues from others. Which outfits get you the most compliments? Look at photos. In which ones do you think you look your best? What are you wearing? And if you really want to up your style game, seek the assistance of a stylist.

If you dress your style and forget what's in fashion, you will always have something to wear.

Get Through The Party Season In Style

Party season is always on, it's fun, exciting; full of energy but dressing to kill isn't always so easy. While some can nail party looks like a pro, others may find it difficult to pick the right outfit and style it accordingly. Investing in a sparkly cocktail attire may sound very tempting but in reality, that dress is worn just once or twice a year.

So, here is a quick walk through some unconventional, unorthodox party wear dresses that are sure to provide the much-needed party glamour. This guide will also prove to be helpful in transforming simple outfits into interesting ones, something that can be worn to sundowners as well as formal dinner parties. Try each look here to see what works the best and then slowly build a style statement that is unique and every bit noticeable.

If just making a good impression is the idea then simple dresses and co-ords can work effortlessly.

  • First thing to consider is the occasion and time of the party as this sets the tone for dressing up. Day celebrations favor comparatively lighter designs, allowing a simple look to do the trick. This one allows for a more relaxed party dress topped with some light make-up. Addition of simple accessories can further accentuate the look making it all the more pleasurable, but that is totally up to the wearer.

  • On the other hand, if the party is at night, you can go for a dressier, classier appearance. Opt for a nice gown, a pleated dress or a smart playsuit to look simply amazing.

  • Standing out in a party, but in a good way is important. Try and stick to your personal style and avoid going too overboard as it may fetch discomfort and you may not end up enjoying the party. For instance, a pair of bejeweled sneakers is a good choice for ladies who aren't comfortable wearing heels.

  • It is always better to combine your existing clothes and create unique styles than buying a new outfit.

  • When it comes to choosing accessories, elegant, dainty designs work well for an evening event. For night parties you can glam up your look with chunky, statement pieces. Large hoops, broad belts, and earrings can make even the simplest outfit look party ready.

  • The next in line is shoes and bags. Either match them or create the perfect clash. Pick a color from the outfit and match your shoes and bags with it or just take whatever you like as nowadays pretty much everything works!

  • To make the party look more unique, you can add a personal style statement to it. Like a headband, some embellishments in your hair or tribal accessories can render uniqueness to your look.

Besides outfit, styling your hair is another key factor to nail a party look. You can try a variety of things from simply straightening your hair to going for intricate braids to achieve a more glamorous look. For a sexier appearance try on beach waves or tight ringlets, whatever suits the occasion.
